Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 1, 2026

1. Our Approach

Nova Wallet ("Nova") is designed as a privacy-first, non-custodial product. Our core principle is data minimization: Nova Labs, Inc. does not operate user accounts, does not run analytics, and does not maintain a database of its users. This policy describes the limited circumstances in which information is processed when you use Nova.

2. What We Do Not Collect

Nova Labs does not collect, receive, or store:

  • private keys, recovery phrases, or passwords — these never leave your device;
  • wallet addresses or transaction history linked to an identity;
  • analytics events, usage telemetry, or behavioral tracking data;
  • IP addresses — we operate no request logging on our update servers;
  • cookies or advertising identifiers for tracking purposes;
  • contact lists, device identifiers, or location data.

3. Local Processing and Storage

All sensitive operations — key generation, transaction signing, and address derivation — happen locally on your device. Wallet data is stored in your browser's or operating system's encrypted storage area and is never synced to Nova servers. Deleting the extension or app removes this data permanently; because we hold no copy, it cannot be recovered by us.

4. Third-Party RPC Endpoints

To read balances and broadcast transactions, Nova connects to public blockchain networks through RPC endpoints. When you use a default endpoint operated by an infrastructure provider, that provider necessarily sees your IP address and the requests you make (such as balance queries). Their handling of that traffic is governed by their own privacy policies, not ours. You may configure a custom or self-hosted RPC endpoint in Settings at any time.

5. Optional Crash Reports

If you opt in, Nova may send an anonymized crash report containing a stack trace and app version. Reports never include keys, phrases, addresses, or transaction data. This setting is off by default and can be disabled at any time.

6. Data Retention and Your Rights

Because we do not collect personal data, we hold nothing to retain, access, correct, export, or delete on your behalf. On-chain data you create is public and immutable by nature of the underlying networks; no party can erase it.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may revise this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced in the release notes and on this page; the "Last updated" date reflects the current version.
