Terms of Use

Last updated: October 1, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Nova Wallet browser extension, mobile applications, and website (collectively, "Nova"), operated by Nova Labs, Inc. ("Nova Labs," "we," "us"). By downloading, installing, or using Nova you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Nova.

2. Non-Custodial Software

Nova is a non-custodial interface to public blockchain networks. Your private keys and recovery phrase are generated and stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to, or accessible by, Nova Labs. We never take possession, custody, or control of your funds, and we cannot access, freeze, reverse, or recover any transaction. You are solely responsible for safeguarding your recovery phrase. If you lose it, your assets may be permanently inaccessible and Nova Labs cannot restore them.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding contracts to use Nova. You may not use Nova if you are located in, or are a resident of, a jurisdiction subject to comprehensive sanctions, or if you appear on any applicable sanctions list. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of Nova complies with the laws of your jurisdiction.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Nova to:

  • violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right;
  • launder money, finance terrorism, or transact with sanctioned parties;
  • interfere with, probe, or attack the integrity of Nova or any connected network;
  • distribute malware, phishing content, or deceptive smart contracts;
  • misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person or entity.

5. Third-Party Services and Networks

Nova lets you interact with decentralized networks, protocols, and third-party services (including RPC providers and decentralized exchanges) that we do not control. We are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, fees, or conduct. Blockchain transactions are irreversible once confirmed; verify all details before signing.

6. No Warranty

Nova is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that Nova will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of vulnerabilities, or that any digital asset will retain its value. Nothing in Nova constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nova Labs and its affiliates, officers, and contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, private keys, or digital assets, arising out of or related to your use of Nova — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our aggregate liability shall not exceed USD 100.

8. Changes and Contact

We may update these Terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date above reflects the current version, and continued use constitutes acceptance. Questions may be directed to legal@novawallet.example.
